1. Who we are
Trading Remote is operated by Nani Innovations ("we", "us"). Trading Remote is made up of the Trading Remote mobile app, the Trading Remote Connector EA for MetaTrader 5, and this website. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
2. What we collect
Your Trading Remote account
- Email address and password, if you sign up with email. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them in readable form.
- Google account name, email and ID, if you sign in with Google.
Trading data from the Connector EA
The Connector EA runs in your own MetaTrader 5 terminal and sends the following to your private area of our database, so the app can show it:
- MT5 account details: login number, account name, broker, server, leverage and deposit currency.
- Balance, equity and margin.
- Open positions: symbol, direction, volume, open price, stop loss, take profit, swap, commission and open time.
- Prices and specifications for the symbols in your Market Watch.
- The commands you send from the app (for example open, close or move a stop loss) and their results, and a history of executions and closes.
Usage and diagnostics
- Firebase Analytics: which screens you open and which features you use (for example that a trade was opened, its symbol, direction, number of orders and mode). Analytics events never include money amounts, emails or passwords. Google also collects device and app information such as device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and errors, with the device state at the time, your Trading Remote user ID and your MT5 login number, so we can find and fix problems.
Advertising (free plan)
- Google AdMob collects your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. See Advertising.
Premium purchases
- Subscriptions are bought through Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we never receive your card or bank information. The app receives the subscription's product, status and purchase token from Google Play to turn Premium on or off.
Stored only on your phone
- App settings (lot size, number of trades, execution mode, stop loss and take profit preferences), the selected account, whether Premium is active and, on the free plan, your credits balance. These stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Sign you in and keep your data private to you | Account details | Providing the service you asked for |
| Show your MT5 account and carry out your commands | Trading data | Providing the service you asked for |
| Find and fix crashes and errors | Diagnostics | Our legitimate interest in a working app |
| Understand which features are used, to improve them | Usage data | Our legitimate interest; consent where required |
| Fund the free plan with ads, and give credits for rewarded ads | Advertising data | Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interest |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your trading data for advertising.
4. Advertising
The free plan shows banner ads and, only when you choose to watch one, rewarded video ads that give you credits. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time from Account → Plan → Ad privacy choices. Google's use of data for ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset or opt out of your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Premium shows no ads.
5. Who processes it
We use Google services to run Trading Remote. They process data on our behalf, under Google's terms and data protection commitments:
- Firebase Authentication and Realtime Database (Google LLC): sign-in and storage of your account and trading data. The database is hosted in the United States.
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google LLC): usage and crash data.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): ads on the free plan.
- Firebase Hosting (Google LLC): this website.
- Google Play (Google LLC): Premium subscription payments.
Because these services run in the United States and other countries, your information may be processed outside South Africa. Google provides safeguards for these transfers as described in its data processing terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and trading data: until you delete your account. Open positions and balances are replaced as they change; execution history is kept so you can see it in the app.
- Analytics: event data is kept for 14 months, then deleted by Google.
- Crash reports: kept for 90 days, then deleted by Google.
- Advertising data: kept by Google as described in Google's privacy policy.
7. Security
All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Database rules allow each signed-in user to read and write only their own data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so keep your Trading Remote password private and use a different password from your broker account.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop or limit some uses, such as analytics or personalised ads.
Email nanilukanyo@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in South Africa and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account and its data in the app under Account → Delete account, or on the Delete account page. Deleting removes your sign-in and all account and trading data from our database straight away. Analytics and crash data are not linked to your email and expire on the schedule above; email us if you want them removed sooner. Deleting your Trading Remote account does not affect your broker account, your positions or your MetaTrader 5 terminal.
10. Children
Trading Remote is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. When we make significant changes, we will show a notice in the app or on this website before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
